The announcement of a global communications contract with BP, underlines T-Systems’ continued progress in achieving its goal of becoming the leading ICT provider for global corporations and public institutions.
Over the next five years, T-Systems will lead a transformation programme to enable BP’s global network for next generation voice and data services.
Dana Deasy, BP Group CIO, said: “T-Systems’ expertise, new perspective and energy will give BP a significant opportunity to reduce complexity and lower our overall cost base.”
The agreement heralds the introduction of a new multi-sourcing model for communications services. BP will enjoy the benefit of appointing a single organisation, T-Systems, to deliver and manage an integrated communications service while retaining the flexibility of leveraging a range of best in class providers.

In a parallel agreement,
Siemens Enterprise Communications (SEN Group) will be providing a global managed service that supports BP’s voice requirements, including managed telephone and audio visual services. The two companies have extensive experience of working together and enjoy a strong track record of successful collaboration.
